OBJECTIVE

-To obtain a split supply powering high quality op-amp circuits
-To fit a LED to give indication when power is on
-To make sure any residual noise is kept by using capacitor

14 Oktober 2010

today, both of us try to do the report and the slideshow for the presentation.
in the report we must include the application of the circuit, which we decided to included three application.
for the presentation, we must do the simulation of the circuit in the software also the slideshow.
the report, slideshowand the simulation still in the progress..

that's all for today

nothing much we do today...
we try to find more information about dc splitter in the internet
dc splitter has a lots application.
we have to choose which one we want to include in the report

Nothing much we did today for lab session because our circuit was succeed.

We still entered lab at 10.30 am. We just fixed a little bit at the circuit and test again by connected the circuit to the 24 DC supply. Again for today, for the first try the circuit did not work. We checked again the connection and noticed that the wire connection was not connected properly. Then, 24 DC input runs the circuit according to the theory. The LED lighted and the DC splitter which is the output, shows half of the input.

After satisfied with the lab session, we continued our job outside the lab. We worked together to find the information for presentation. We proceed on the slide show part.

The project's schedule continue tomorrow ............

Today we continued on our project...

we started from the beginning...arranged the components accordingly, make sure the connection is connected and so on. Lim Jit Yang from other group also came to see how we construct the circuit.

After a while...the circuit is connected to the DC supply. Unfortunately, the first try did not work. Nothing happened to the circuit especially the LED. After several rechecked, the circuit still cannot function properly. Finally, we decided to ask En. Hilmi's help. Eventually, our mistake is so simple. The first diode is in the reversed biased. Therefore, current cannot flow through the circuit.

But think back, luckily its reversed biased because we actually had made some mistake at the connection of the input at the DC supply. If not, out LED or something else in our circuit should have been burnt.

Now, the diode is in forward biased. So, the circuit run smoothly and of course with some slightly different from the theory. So, basically our project is succeed.

Ok...that is for today. We will continue tommorow.......
